Planned Giving Day 2026 The Future of Philanthropy: Strategies for a Changing Landscape
NOCGP invites you to submit session ideas for Planned Giving Day 2026, to be held September 17th at Cleveland Marriott East in Warrensville Heights. This year’s program will focus on the future of philanthropy through cross‑sector collaboration, exploring how nonprofits and advisors can work together to better serve donors in a rapidly evolving giving landscape.
We are seeking timely, practical, and forward‑thinking proposals that address emerging donor trends, innovative giving techniques, evolving donor expectations, and the role of technology and AI in donor engagement. If you have insights, case studies, or strategies that can help strengthen collaboration and drive meaningful philanthropic impact, we encourage you to share your ideas and be part of the conversation shaping what’s next in charitable giving.
Submit your speaking proposal and help shape the future of philanthropy.
GUIDELINES:
Individuals may submit up to two proposals.
The program should qualify for continuing education credit. The program committee reserves the right to ask session designers to make modifications to the session.
The program committee may share your proposal with the Planned Giving Day committee.
Presentations range from the very basic to most advanced strategies in gift planning to offer maximum variety for attendees. Speakers should feel free to propose topics that address not only the technical aspects of planned giving but also donor relationships as well as implementation issues or experiences. Conference speakers are asked to donate their time as well as travel expenses.
Please submit presentation proposals for your area of expertise of interest to professionals involved with charitable gift planning.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Objective & Fit: Has the session designer described a clear and limited objective for imparting new knowledge, training in a new skill and/or changing opinion? In addition, is the objective appropriate for a 60-minute session, with the understanding that at least 10 minutes are devoted to audience participation or a learning activity for the audience?
Format: Does the designer suggest a format that matches the primary objective (for example, involves participants in analyzing a case study as a means of training in a new skill)?
Need: Does the session address a recognized information need or interest of the planned giving professional? Does the session have potential to add to the knowledge needed to lead or operate a development department or make strategic and effective decisions?
Balance: Does the session include a balanced presentation on topics or opinions that are being debated in the field or larger society?
Diversity: Will the suggested discussion leaders offer perspectives that include different professional, geographic, ethnic and gender experiences and/or other diverse backgrounds that are relevant to the discussion and will challenge conventional thinking?
Final Decision: Please be advised that the decision of Northern Ohio Planned Giving Council PGD Program Committee is final.
We appreciate conference speakers who donate their time and experience.
Presentation Proposals Are Due by April 30, 2026.
