PLANNED GIVING 101-301

Friday, May 8, 2026 8:15 AM - 3:45 PM
Wyndham Independence, 6200 Quarry Ln, Independence, OH 44131

The goal of this day of learning is to provide both basic and in-depth exploration of planned giving resources/techniques, and to offer real-world examples of how the use of Planned Giving resources deepens the relationship between donors and the institutions they support.

Learning objectives for the day:

  • Participants will gain a solid understanding of Planned Giving vehicles, how they work, how to implement them, and how meaningful they can be to a charity.
  • Participants will learn to recognize cues from donors that they may be able to better realize their philanthropic objectives by making a planned gift.
  • Participants will learn to discuss gift planning options with donors that are easy to comprehend and donor-centric.

The day will be structured with morning sessions for fundraising professionals new to planned giving, while the afternoon will cover more advanced topics and techniques for seasoned professionals.  Registrants can participate in either the morning or afternoon sessions or experience the entire day. Lunch and networking is included for all participants.
